Terms and conditions. It is important that you read and understand our Terms & Conditions before submitting an order as you are entering into a contract with Paintman Paint Ltd and you will be bound by the terms herein.

Paintman Paint Ltd is VAT Registered in the UK, VAT Number 260 8359 93. We make every effort to keep the prices up to date but we reserve the right to change prices at any time without notice. It may be that prices are incorrectly quoted or changed due to external circumstances. We have no statutory obligation to sell goods at the price quoted if that price is incorrect.
Orders are always shipped at the earliest opportunity. If an item is not in stock it may be necessary to mix that item before it can be dispatched. This may cause a slight delay in delivery. If this happens we will contact you. In the unlikely event of us not being able to supply, for whatever reason, we will refund payment as soon as we know of the non supply. We aim to dispatch all on line orders placed before 1100 within the next working day. In some cases this may not be possible due to nil-stocks, special orders, or the office being closed for holidays. You will however be notified using email when your order has been processed through the system. It is incumbent on the customer to be ready to receive their order when the courier arrives. If no one is likely to be present it can be left in a safe place designated by the customers, but this information has to be authorised by Paintman Paint to the Carrier and declared at the time of dispatch. It will not be left unattended on the authorisation of a localised note or otherwise at the point of delivery. The delivery to a safe place designated by the customer will be at the risk of the customer and Paintman Paint Ltd will not be held responsible for any losses howsoever caused.
Currently because of shipping restrictions we can only dispatch parcels to certain areas of the Europe. As we do not deliver to all areas, please enquire to email@example.com to confirm we can ship to your post code and country.
All carriage charges are based on either actual weight or volumetric weight. The charges are based on total consignment weight and individual boxes. All of our paints are considered as Dangerous Goods and can only be carried by registered companies with drivers.
UK MAINLAND DELIVERY
You should receive your consignment within 2 days following despatch for mainland UK. If you live in the Highlands region of Scotland it can take up to 5 days longer dependent on your location.
You may ask us to arrange with the carrier to leave the consignment in a safe place. If this option is taken, the liability for the security of the consignment falls with the customer. Paintman Paint Ltd will not be responsible for any losses or damage howsoever caused.
These conditions are totally dependent on the carrier and we take no responsibility for circumstances beyond our control.
UK OFFSHORE AND NORTHERN IRELAND DELIVERY
This includes all UK postcodes not on the UK mainland (e.g. Northern Ireland, Isle of Wight, Channel Islands and Scottish Islands). Surcharges are applicable to all areas. The delivery cost for your postcode will be displayed on the website prior to payment for goods!
EUROPEAN and (EC) DELIVERY
Important Statement to European customers
Following the UK’s exit from the EU, we no longer charge UK VAT on sales to EU customers. Our shippers deal with customs clearance and a commercial invoice will be included with your order. You will receive notification from the carrier of any VAT or Duty levied by the destination country, this will need to be paid prior to delivery. These charges are not included in the shipping price and are payable by the customer. If for any reason the fees are not paid and goods returned, the customer will be liable for all shipping costs. EU Businesses will need to provide an EORI No.
We currently ship to the following European Destinations: Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden.
All paint and thinner shipments to Europe are classed as Dangerous Goods by the EU and Air Transport Regulations. All consignments are shipped by licensed Shippers. They are packed and certified as defined by the current ADR Dangerous Goods Regulations and labelled accordingly.
Due to the changes which have occurred through Brexit and the IOSS system imposed by the EU on the 1 July 2021 we are unable to ship consignments of below £150.00 to EU countries under the IOSS regulations as Paintman Paint Ltd is not registered in an EU country.
All prices quoted do not include import duties and other taxes where applicable
USA & CANADA
We are not permitted to ship to USA and Canada.
REST OF WORLD
We are able to ship to Rest of World destinations by air subject to local regulations .
We accept payment by most major credit, debit cards and Paypal. We do not accept AMEX.
Invoices will be provided when consignments are shipped. If incorrect payment details are supplied we may contact you to ascertain the correct details. We reserve the right to refuse acceptance of payment if we suspect they are being used fraudulently.
In no circumstances can orders be cancelled after they have been despatched, or while in transit. Under these circumstances orders will be treated as a return. A refund will be provided when the goods are returned to us.

Our refund and returns policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have passed since your purchase, we can’t offer you a full refund or exchange. Circumstances will dictate whether a full refund or an exchange is appropriate. Original carriage costs will not be reimbursed.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. In the case of paint, unused condition is deemed to be that the container has not been opened. It must also be in the original packaging, packed to the same standard to avoid damage in transit.
Goods that have been used cannot be returned unless a warranty claim is submitted. Warranty claims for faulty goods will be dealt with through us but the manufacturer may wish to make an assessment and decide on the proper course of action.
We will not offer refunds or exchanges for the following circumstances. When goods:
- have been used
- are soiled
- have an odour i.e. smoke
- arrive damaged as a result of misuse or ill-treatment
- are damaged on the return journey
In no circumstances can orders be cancelled after it has been dispatched or while it is in transit but must be treated as a return. In this eventuality a refund will be provided when the goods are returned to us.

The vast majority of returns fall into one of four categories, each of which must be treated in a slightly different manner:
- Unwanted or Unsuitable Goods
- Damaged or Defective Goods
- Broken Goods under Warranty
- Incorrect Goods Dispatched
Unwanted or Unsuitable Goods
Made to order colours and finishes are non returnable or refundable. All of our paints are mixed to order unfortunately meaning they are not re-saleable, unless if you believe there’s a problem – in which case our incorrect goods despatched policy applies.
You are free to return unwanted shelf-stock goods (inc primers, sundries, undercoats) in a new and unused condition for 30 days after delivery. You will be entitled to your choice of an exchange* or a full refund of the cost of the goods via the original payment method. The customer is responsible for the cost of returns carriage for unwanted goods. We cannot accept responsibility for goods in returns transit and so we recommend that you use an insured method.

Damaged or Defective Goods
You are free to return defective goods in an unused condition for 30 days after delivery. Please note paint is only classed as damaged if the paint has escaped the tin.
You will be entitled to your choice of an exchange or a full refund via the original payment method. Paintman Paint Ltd will meet the cost of returns postage for defective goods. We can arrange for a courier pickup of the goods or we can refund your carriage expenses (within reasonable limits on sight of receipt) upon return delivery. Please note that the warranty given by both Paintman Paint Ltd and the manufacturers of our products will only cover parts. Labour charges and other costs are not covered.
Carrier damaged goods can only be accepted for return if the goods were signed for as ‘damaged’ from the carrier.
Incorrect Goods Despatched
Occasionally the wrong item is sent to a customer. You are free to return these goods in a new and unused condition for 14 days after delivery. You will be entitled to your choice of an exchange* for the correct item or a full refund. If you have been incorrectly charged, we will correct the discrepancy. Paintman Paint Ltd will meet the cost of returns postage for incorrectly despatched goods. We can arrange for a courier pickup of the goods or we can refund your postage expenses (within reasonable limits on sight of receipt) upon return delivery.
All goods must be returned to us in a new and unused condition unless a damaged claim is being made. We reserve the right to refuse returned goods if necessary.
If you are returning goods for an exchange you would normally have to wait for the goods to arrive with us and be inspected before a replacement is despatched. However, we recognise that sometimes an exchange must be made quickly. In order to send out a replacement immediately, we must take payment for the replacement. As soon as the return arrives we will give you a refund of that cost.
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your original method of payment.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary.
If you are returning more expensive items, you may consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
We make every effort to ensure that the product images we use are accurate and up to date. All product images are either owned by Paintman Paint Ltd or are used with the permission of the originator and remain the copyright of the originator. Unauthorised use of images owned by Paintman Paint Ltd will be taken very seriously. Colours may vary from illustrated, this could be due to your screen settings and not the product illustrated.
Product Information and Descriptions
We make every effort to ensure that the product information we use is accurate and up to date. All product descriptions are used with the permission of the originator and remain the copyright of the originator.
We take the satisfaction of our customers very seriously. If you feel you have received substandard information or services from us we would like to hear about it so that we can prevent the same thing from happening again. Company Holidays & Shutdowns
Paintman Paint Ltd operates a policy of total Company shut down during statutory holiday periods. Company shut downs will be notified on this website shortly before the intended shut down, these periods may vary year by year. Automatic email response and answerphone messages will be posted during the period of shut down. Orders may be placed on the website during these periods, however the orders will not be despatched until after the Company re-opens. Paintman Paint Ltd will endeavour to answer all enquiries and despatch orders as quickly as possible after the shut down.
