Achieving a flawless finish starts with proper preparation. The most challenging aspect of any painting project is ensuring that your surface is perfectly clean and ready to receive primers and topcoats. Even the smallest imperfections, if not addressed, can detract from your final result.

Prep Kit Includes:
- Prep Clean – for thorough surface cleaning.
- Tack Cloths – to remove fine dust particles.
- Scotch Brite Pads – for surface abrasion.
- Wet & Dry Sandpaper – in grits P120, P240, P320, P600, and P800 for versatile wet or sanding.
- Dolphin Filler – to smooth out minor imperfections.
- Precision Edge Masking Tape – 1 inch & 2 inch for sharp, clean lines.
- Safety Glasses – for eye protection.
- Filter Mask – to ensure safe breathing during sanding and cleaning.
Available in both small and large sizes, the quantities in the kit vary to suit your project scale.
Pro Tip: Water or a water-detergent mixture reduces scratches by lubricating the surface. The water also washes away loose abrasive grit and in the process, prevents the paper from loading up with gunk and becoming ineffective.
Additional information of interest
- Primer & Undercoat. We recommend using the closest colour primer & undercoat to your top coat. If you have a bare metal surface you must use an Etch Primer before applying your filler primer.
- Galvanised metal. We recommend using T Wash before applying primer on fresh galvanised metal.
