Etch Primers

Etch Primers – stock primer variations. This category lists all of the colour variations for the etch primers and related products. Etch Primers are used as the first layer of coat when preparing to paint a vehicle or boat. Etch Primer is to only be used on the bare metal surface. If you are painting over the top of a layer then please visit our undercoats as they would be better suited to your project. In layman’s terms Etch Primer is used as it has better adhesion and will stick to the aluminum unlike the filler primer or undercoat. After the project has been etch primed the filler primer will stick to the etch primer allowing for each coat to be applied.
